The Annual Meeting is fast approaching and we are looking for volunteers to be District Delegates. Delegates are neighborhood representatives who vote on behalf of the members they represent. I’ve emailed you because you have previously shown an interest in participating.
The Annual Meeting will not consist of an election as there are no expiring terms this year, but votes will need to be obtained for the Excess funds. Becoming a District Delegate is a great way to get involved with the Community and meet some of your neighbors without a large time commitment. If you choose to become a Delegate you will have a term of (1) year, this means that if any petitions take place or if an election is required you may be needed for an election.
The Board of Directors will be agreeing to the date of the meeting at their Board Meeting on April 25th, but it will most likely be scheduled for July 25, 2019.

Thank you to all of you who have taken the time to submit the requested information for the new pool access system! We have begun the process of uploading resident data to the new system. Once this step is complete, each resident will receive an email with their new credential and instructions. The new card readers are scheduled to be installed the week of April 22nd. Once this is complete your current pool keys will no longer work. We will send out a reminder to the community closer to this date.
Please see below for information on the new system and answers to common questions:
The new system, OpenPath, will grant pool access through an app you download on your smartphone. Some key features include:
- Easy to use app
- Provides secure access for residents
- Faster check-in process with pool monitors
- No more physical cards that can be lost
- Simple replacement process
- Each member of the household (over the age of 16) can have access credentials — instead of only one credential per household with the old system
-I DID NOT SUBMIT PRIOR TO THE DEADLINE, IS IT TOO LATE?
Not at all, the form is still LIVE and we will continue updating the new system as requests are received. If you have not yet submitted the requested information, please log-on to the Resident Portal (https://resident.actionlife.com) and follow the instructions titled “Cottonwood Pool Access”. Once the new system is in place your current pool key will no longer work, so please submit the requested information today!
-HOW DO I KNOW IF MY INFORMATION WAS RECEIVED AND IS CORRECT?
If additional information is needed, we will contact you directly. Otherwise, credentials with instructions will be emailed out. When we are officially switching over, we will send a follow-up email letting everyone know this has occurred.
-I DO NOT HAVE A SMART PHONE; DOES THIS MEAN I WON’T HAVE POOL ACCESS?
We have alternatives for those without smart phones. Please contact management.
A detailed FAQ will be released in the coming weeks to address additional concerns and ensure a smooth transition to the new pool access system. If you have any questions that were not addressed please contact management at (800)400-2284.

We are also accepting volunteers for the event! If you or someone you know needs community service hours for school, we would be happy to sign off on their form. Set-up begins at 10am, and take-down will begin at 4pm. Please email Justine at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are able to donate these items, or if you know someone who is interested in volunteering. Thank you!
Don’t forget that next weekend is the semi-annual Community Garage Sale! We will be advertising for the Community on Facebook, Craigslist, and the Press Enterprise. No registration is required, simply place your unwanted items outside to sell!
